Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Infrastructure and operations

• Design, build, configure, and support Oracle DBX stack infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Manage high-availability platforms, disaster recovery, backup, and restoration processes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, virtualization, database, and application issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Administer OLVM, VMware ESXi/vCenter, and Oracle VM platforms; administer Oracle Linux through patching, hardening, tuning, and optimization.

DevOps and security

• Embed security controls in CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps and DevSecOps initiatives.
• Support security operations, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
• Lead infrastructure automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, and Jenkins.

Oracle database administration

• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, OEM, and backup and recovery solutions.
• Support database cloning and replication, flashback configuration, DR testing, performance analysis, and incident impact assessments.

Infrastructure and cloud experience

• 8–10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises deployments; expertise in VMware, OLVM, and Oracle VM.
• Strong Linux administration, including Oracle Linux 7/8/9/10.
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, SAN, and TLS/HTTPS.
• Cloud platform experience; OCI is preferred.

DevOps, security, and Oracle expertise

• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker, Podman, CRI-O, Kubernetes, Bash, and Python.
• Experience automating infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and remediation activities.
• Experience with firewalls, network segmentation, endpoint security, SIEM, vulnerability and certificate management, patch management, and security hardening.
• Oracle DBA expertise across RAC, ASM, Data Guard, backup and recovery, OEM, DR testing, database performance analysis, and tuning.

Additional qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities and experience supporting business-critical, high-availability environments.
• Telecom or other highly regulated enterprise experience is highly desirable.
