Main responsibilities
- Design, build, test and maintain software, delivering functionality and improving services in line with architecture and coding standards.
- Work across development, testing, deployment, monitoring and production support.
- Translate user needs and designs into working software with multidisciplinary colleagues; iterate services using evidence and feedback.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs, web applications, microservices and containerised applications.
- Investigate live incidents, identify root causes and implement improvements to service reliability.
- Build and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Review code, share knowledge, support colleagues and improve engineering practices; explore or prototype solutions.
Essential criteria provided
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and/or web applications using Python and Django, with experience working with SQL.
- Experience designing, building and supporting microservices and containerised applications; the supplied text cuts off before the named technologies.
