Role overview
The Vehicle and Trailers camera viewing team prototypes, tests, and productionizes features based on camera inputs.
The Senior Software Developer develops and integrates customer-focused viewing features for drivers using trailers.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, prototype, and test new features and technologies.
- Develop and release embedded features for Vehicle Interface Processor, VCU, and other systems.
- Design embedded software in an agile environment and deliver features into production.
- Analyze, resolve, and track defects through closure.
- Participate in architecture, requirements, design, code, and test-case reviews.
- Review software change requests, plan implementation, and conduct code reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least five years of product-development experience in automotive or a related industry.
- Experience developing or leading complex camera-based features and working across requirements, systems design, and backend integration.
- Strong collaboration and communication; ability to prioritize and execute under pressure.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile and SCM tools such as GitHub.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Prior vehicle infotainment, vehicle trailering, embedded-team leadership, or automotive electronic device experience.
Compensation
- The stated salary range is $115,000 to $164,600; the posting does not specify a pay cadence.
