Senior Software Developer – Java Full stack (Java + Angular + OracleDB)

Role overview

Development responsibilities

• Build scalable cloud-native applications with clean, maintainable design.
• Lead Oracle data migrations to modern cloud or distributed databases and modernize monoliths into microservices.
• Develop features, including AI-driven capabilities, while supporting existing systems.
• Build real-time data pipelines using Kafka or similar platforms and design robust client-server and microservices architectures.
• Create responsive Angular and TypeScript interfaces and Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate backend services.
• Work with SQL/PostgreSQL, distributed data patterns, and AI/ML model integration for real-time insights.
• Use GitLab for version control, issue tracking, and CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment, participate in code reviews, and provide mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of Java full-stack development experience focused on cloud-native architectures and large-scale enterprise systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Java knowledge and experience leading modernization, monolith-to-microservices transformation, and legacy upgrades.
• Experience with large-scale Oracle migration strategies to modern cloud or distributed databases.
• Expertise in event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and Apache Kafka.
• Strong Spring framework/Spring MVC, Hibernate ORM, Angular, and TypeScript proficiency.
• Working knowledge of REST API design, SQL, PostgreSQL or other relational databases, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Analytical skills, data structures and algorithms knowledge, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
• Able to work independently or with a team; strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or Selenium and Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban are preferred.

Location and travel

• The role is based in Pune and may require visits to other locations within India and outside India. The description does not specify an onsite or hybrid work policy.
