The Senior Java Engineer designs, develops, and maintains scalable, secure, high-performance backend applications and services.
The role independently owns technical deliverables and contributes to engineering and architecture decisions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and developers to deliver software.
- Participate in technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Technical qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11 or above, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, Java Collections, concurrency, exception handling, JVM concepts, and design patterns.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and with designing REST APIs and integrating distributed services and external systems.
- Kafka experience is needed; Redis or similar messaging and caching technology is advantageous.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, reusable, secure, production-ready code and understand scalable, highly available distributed systems.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.
- Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation are preferred.
