Your Role

• As a Site Engineer - Senior, you will
• Lead the preparation and execution of engineering methodologies, method statements, and engineering planning for assigned work areas.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables and requirements with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Review drawings, technical submittals, and red-line mark-ups to ensure accurate execution and as-built documentation.
• Supervise on-site execution to ensure alignment with approved designs, specifications, and project sequencing.
• Conduct internal inspections and coordinate with QA/QC for timely work inspections, material approvals, and quality closeouts.
• Identify deviations or technical issues and propose corrective actions, verifying effectiveness and reporting risks where necessary.
• Liaise with subcontractors and QA/QC teams to resolve NCRs, complete snag lists, and close out consultant comments.
• Support and enforce ALEC’s HSE standards and procedures through proactive planning and daily site engagement.
• Participate in planning meetings, short-term look-ahead scheduling, and interface coordination with other disciplines.
• Monitor progress across assigned scopes and provide daily and weekly status reports to the Section Manager.
• Support testing, commissioning, and final inspections by ensuring readiness of systems and coordination of all required documentation.
• Apply technical expertise and discipline-specific knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes within your area of specialisation.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties and/or responsibilities as required by management, to meet the needs of the business.

Skills And Competencies

• First Aider certification
• Strong understanding of drawings, technical specifications, & engineering codes
• Proven ability to lead site execution across multiple trades & disciplines
• Proficient in developing method statements, inspection requests, & technical submittals
• Skilled in identifying & resolving technical issues on site
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with internal & external stakeholders
• High standards for quality control & specification compliance
• Familiarity with project planning, sequencing, & resource forecasting
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of BIM processes, document control systems, & commissioning workflows
• Understanding of local authority regulations & inspection protocols
• Experience with testing, commissioning, & project closeout phases.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or
• 10+ years experience
