Role overview

Drives profitable sales growth and manages assigned customers across New Country Healthcare’s healthcare channels.

Owns day-to-day commercial relationships, focusing on sales, account development, product availability, listings, promotions, collections, and sustainable growth.

Works with Medical Marketing, Trade Marketing, Merchandisers, Promoters, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance across the customer journey.

Sales and customer management

  • Achieve sales, revenue, distribution, and account-growth targets through agreed commercial plans.
  • Grow existing accounts through portfolio penetration, additional listings, cross-selling, and upselling; identify new customers and business opportunities.
  • Maintain an opportunity pipeline and prioritize accounts by potential, performance gaps, and strategic value.
  • Build relationships with purchasing and procurement teams, pharmacy in-charges, pharmacists, and other stakeholders; serve as the primary commercial contact.
  • Visit customers regularly to review performance, stock, listings, promotions, service levels, and future opportunities.

Promotions and field execution

  • Collaborate with Medical Marketing on product priorities, launches, approved communication, and customer engagement.
  • Plan and execute promotions, campaigns, visibility programmes, and customer-specific activities with Trade Marketing; evaluate results and provide recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Merchandisers and Promoters on availability, placement, visibility, and promotional standards; identify and address execution gaps.

Stock, fulfilment, and commercial administration

  • Monitor customer inventory, sales movement, and availability to reduce stock-outs, lost sales, and excess stock.
  • Coordinate orders from confirmation through fulfilment and delivery with Supply Chain and Delivery teams, resolving service issues.
  • Identify slow-moving and near-expiry products; coordinate approved stock rotation, redistribution, or targeted commercial actions and escalate risks.
  • Support listings, quotations, customer registrations, and tenders; apply approved prices, promotions, discounts, and commercial terms.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments with customers and Finance; maintain accurate records of activities, orders, commitments, opportunities, and follow-ups.

Market intelligence

  • Monitor competitors’ products, pricing, promotions, launches, availability, listings, and other market developments.
  • Identify unmet needs, portfolio gaps, new outlets, competitor weaknesses, and opportunities for incremental business.
  • Share field observations, customer feedback, account performance, and market insights to support recommendations, forecasting, and commercial planning.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or another relevant discipline.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant sales or account management experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare, nutraceuticals, OTC, healthcare distribution, or a related sector is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with healthcare customers, pharmacy groups, purchasing teams, pharmacy managers, or other relevant commercial stakeholders.
  • Exposure to listings, promotions, stock management, customer activations, and order management is preferred.

Functional skills

  • Strong understanding of healthcare and pharmacy-channel sales, territory management, account development, customer purchasing, listings, and order generation.
  • Ability to analyse sales, stock, and product movement to identify growth opportunities, slow-moving inventory, near-expiry risks, and corrective actions.
  • Experience in trade promotion and in-store execution, including customer activations, product visibility, and coordination with Marketing, Merchandisers, and Promoters.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, presentation, and objection-handling skills; ability to build relationships with purchasing and pharmacy stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; CRM or sales management system familiarity is preferred.
  • Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.

Required skills

  • The posting calls for clear communication, accountability, integrity, collaboration, resilience, relationship-building, stakeholder management, and practical problem-solving.
