A Senior Room Attendant /Team Leader is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas while supervising and guiding housekeeping staff.
This role combines hands-on cleaning duties with leadership responsibilities to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent guest satisfaction.
1. Housekeeping Operations
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to standards
- Ensure rooms are properly stocked with amenities, linens, and supplies
- Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure quality and consistency
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and support room attendants and housekeeping staff
- Assign daily tasks and manage work schedules
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback
- Ensure team follows hygiene, safety, and hotel standards
3. Quality Control
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas
- Ensure cleanliness meets company or hotel standards
- Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping
4. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with front office and maintenance departments
- Update room status (clean, dirty, inspected) accurately
- Assist management in planning and organizing housekeeping activities
5. Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and linen inventory
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping (preferably in hotels)
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Assign daily tasks and manage work schedules
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback
- Ensure team follows hygiene, safety, and hotel standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,900.00 per month
