About This Role
Job Summary
**Commis 1** is responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in cooking dishes according to the restaurant or hotel standards.
The role supports the **Chef de Partie** in managing a kitchen section and ensures food preparation, quality, and hygiene standards are maintained.
The Commis 1 also helps maintain a clean and organized kitchen while working efficiently as part of the kitchen team.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in **Culinary Arts / Hotel Management** (preferred).
- Usually **1–3 years of kitchen experience**.
- Experience in **hotel, restaurant, or catering kitchen** is preferred.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients such as **cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning**.
- Cook and plate dishes according to **recipes and presentation standards**.
- Assist the **team** in daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure **food quality, taste, and consistency** meet kitchen standards.
- Maintain **cleanliness and sanitation** of the kitchen area and equipment.
- Follow **food safety and hygiene regulations** at all times.
- Store food items properly and follow **FIFO (First In, First Out)** stock rotation.
- Check and maintain **kitchen equipment** in good condition.
- Assist in **receiving and storing deliveries**.
- Work efficiently during **busy service periods** and support other kitchen staff when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,300.00 per month
