About the role

Design, analysis, and development

• Design and optimize low-observable features, including platform shaping, material selection, and internal component arrangement.
• Perform radar cross-section analysis using computational electromagnetics tools such as CST Microwave Studio and in-house software.
• Iterate with aerodynamics and structures teams on aerodynamic sizing, stealth shaping, stability and control, structural integrity, and system-volume constraints.
• Develop and validate physics-based models for predicting and mitigating signatures.
• Compare stealth-design approaches through performance, cost, and weight trade studies.

Testing and collaboration

• Support compact-range, anechoic-chamber, open-air-range, and flight testing to validate stealth performance.
• Correlate test data with computational models and identify discrepancies.
• Work with engineers and technicians to integrate stealth materials and components onto platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, production, product-support, and program teams across the platform lifecycle.
• Stay current with stealth technology, materials science, and computational methods, and contribute new concepts and intellectual property.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field; a Ph.D. is highly preferred.
• 5–10 years of electromagnetic engineering experience, preferably in radar low-observable/stealth work focused on radar cross-section reduction.
• In-depth knowledge of electromagnetic principles and wave propagation, plus strong understanding of RF propagation and antenna theory.
• Proficiency with computational electromagnetics software such as CST, FEKO, or HFSS.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with laboratory testing and measurement equipment such as vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with radar-absorbent materials, including their measurement, is preferred.
• Knowledge of RF measurement techniques and equipment is preferred.
