Lead CNC Machine Operator at EPI, responsible for machining setup and production and for supervising CNC operators.
Produce parts to customer specifications by interpreting blueprints, sketches, and other part descriptions.
Machining and team operations
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC horizontal and vertical milling and turning centers.
- Supervise CNC operators, train others, monitor attendance, and ensure high operating standards.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and jigs; fabricate parts and fixtures to required timings.
- Perform manual programming as needed and set up or change over legacy production.
- Operate dynamic tool balancers, Zoller equipment, and shrink-fit equipment; handle raw materials and finished goods by forklift.
- Perform TPM and coolant monitoring; maintain 5S and housekeeping.
- Follow NC management and QMS requirements; contribute to product problem-solving and daily production meetings.
- Track OEE, SFC data entry, downtime, scrap, rejections, and KPIs; promptly report deficiencies and machine breakdowns.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions with the team; maintain consumables and report shortages.
Basic qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong programming experience is required.
- Computer programming and CAD/CAM software experience is required.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 10 years as a senior CNC machine operator in aerospace, oil and gas, defense machining, or an equivalent industry is preferred.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments is preferred.
- English proficiency is required for EDGE roles unless otherwise stated.
