About the role
The Test Technician, Remote Sensing sets up and executes remote-sensing solutions for tests at Abu Al Abyad Test Range and off-site.
Activities involve tracking and surveillance radar, flight termination systems, and telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Work with test engineers and the team lead on tests involving tracking radar, flight termination, and telemetry.
- Set up and operate systems for relevant flight tests.
- Give feedback on test procedures to improve safety and reliability.
- Prepare raw data for test reports.
- Use equipment in accordance with range documentation.
- Seek improvements to productivity and safety in the area of expertise.
Basic qualifications
- Diploma in an electrical or electromechanical field.
- Experience assembling and disassembling electronic equipment.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Arabic speaker; English proficiency is required for EDGE roles unless otherwise stated.
- Flexible to work overtime, ad hoc shifts, or customer sites when needed.
- Interest in working with military and defence equipment.
Preferred qualifications
- Understanding of radar and telemetry technology.
- Understanding of setup and operation of radar, telemetry, and flight termination equipment.
- Interest in working on a test and evaluation range.
