Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates for interior fit-out and joinery projects.
- Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend awards.
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements and purchase orders in coordination with the procurement team.
- Measure work progress, prepare interim payment applications, and certify subcontractor invoices.
- Prepare and manage variation orders, claims, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and recommend cost-saving/value engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Planning, and Finance teams on commercial matters.
- Attend client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project specifications, and company commercial procedures.
- Maintain accurate commercial records, cost reports, and project documentation.
- Support management with project profitability analysis and monthly commercial reporting.
- Mentor and guide junior Quantity Surveyors where required.
