Senior Quantitative Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Monitor portfolio trends, risks, and opportunities; forecast future credit losses.
• Develop and evaluate credit strategies to improve risk characteristics and support loan origination growth.
• Conduct complex analysis using SQL and/or Python; build reports, dashboards, and visualizations with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Use advanced Excel and PowerPoint to analyze results and prepare executive-ready presentations.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leaders; support cross-functional decisions.
• Contribute to additional analytics projects and team priorities.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in analytical projects and reporting.
• Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of retail and small-business loans and their profitability drivers.
• Experience designing and implementing A/B tests; strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize and drive work with minimal guidance.

Preferred knowledge

• Financial Services experience is preferred.
• Unsecured loan and credit card knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with credit strategies, risk, and pricing is preferred; the description also seeks deep understanding of customer-lifecycle risk and profitability management.
