Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About This Role

We’re currently partnering with a fast-growing, product-led tech business in Dubai that is looking to hire a Senior QA Enginee r to join their in-house team.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll take full ownership of quality across the entire platform, working across mobile, web, and backend systems. You’ll be joining at a key stage where the QA function is being strengthened, with a strong focus on improving release quality, stability, and user experience.

The Role

• Own end-to-end QA across mobile (iOS & Android), web, and backend/API layers
• Test new features, bug fixes, and platform improvements across a growing product roadmap
• Design, write, and manage structured test cases and regression suites
• Work closely with engineering and product teams in a weekly sprint environment
• Identify, reproduce, and clearly document bugs with strong attention to detail
• Support release cycles by understanding what is critical vs non-blocking
• Contribute to building and improving QA processes in a fast-moving environment

What They’re Looking For

• 6+ years’ experience in QA / software testing
• Strong hands-on experience across:
• Mobile testing (iOS & Android, real devices)
• Web testing (cross-browser, responsive)
• API testing (REST / GraphQL)
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Appium, Cypress, Playwright or similar)
• Comfortable debugging using logs, DevTools, and backend insights
• Experience testing payment flows / subscription-based platforms is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of QA processes, but adaptable to a fast-paced, startup environment
• Highly autonomous, proactive, and detail-oriented

Tech Environment

• Mobile apps and web platforms built on modern frameworks
• Backend systems with APIs and asynchronous workflows
• Cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Tools such as Jira, Slack, and collaborative product/design platform
