Senior E&I QC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) QC Engineer with proven procurement and vendor inspection experience to join our EPC project team in the oil & gas sector. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, quality, and timely delivery of E&I materials and systems from procurement through installation and commissioning.

YOUR ROLE

As a Senior E&I QC Engineer you will:

• Lead and manage E&I Quality Control activities for EPC oil & gas projects in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Review and approve E&I procurement documents, including datasheets, MR/PO technical requirements, ITPs, and vendor quality plans.
• Coordinate and perform vendor inspections, FATs, and expediting activities for E&I equipment and materials.
• Liaise with Procurement, Engineering, and Vendors to ensure technical compliance and on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, API, ISA, NEC, and project-specific standards.
• Monitor site installation, testing, and pre-commissioning activities for E&I works.
• Manage NCRs, CARs, punch lists, and quality reports related to E&I scope.
• Mentor junior QC engineers and inspectors.
• Support audits, client inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in E&I QC roles within EPC oil & gas projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in E&I procurement support, material submittals, and vendor management.
• Proven experience conducting vendor inspections and FATs.

Education / Training / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
• Compex Certification would be an advantage

Skills/Competencies

• Solid understanding of E&I equipment (switchgears, MCCs, VFDs, cables, instruments, DCS, PLCs, analyzers, etc.).
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, API, ISA).
• Excellent coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
