Role overview

Mandatory skills

• SDLC, Agile methodology, impact analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of professional Python development and strong experience with at least one major framework: Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Docker, CI/CD, cloud deployment, RESTful API design, relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL with ORMs, and NoSQL stores such as Redis or MongoDB.
• Automated testing with pytest or unittest and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, configuration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support of applications across assigned platforms.
• Own complex modules, integrations, workflows, enhancements, and platform-specific development tasks.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, development tasks, configurations, and implementation plans.
• Perform impact analysis across application, database, configuration, integration, and security areas.
• Build scalable features, APIs, integrations, custom modules, workflows, and reusable components.
• Support REST and SOAP APIs, middleware, web services, third-party platforms, and enterprise interfaces.
• Write secure, reusable, maintainable code or configuration following standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, performance problems, production defects, deployment failures, integration errors, and user incidents.
• Perform testing, defect resolution, release validation, and production support.
• Conduct code and configuration reviews, technical walkthroughs, and quality improvement discussions.
• Work with databases, queries, migrations, data validation, and application data relationships as needed.
• Collaborate with delivery and client stakeholders, mentor junior developers, identify technical risks, and recommend improvements.

Experience and education

• Requires 5–8 years of experience in software engineering, application development, platform configuration, integration, or technology support.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field is required; MCA is acceptable.

Desirable skills

• Desirable: asynchronous programming, message queues, Kubernetes, microservices, event-driven architecture, and multi-tenant systems.
• Desirable: data engineering or ML/LLM integration, open-source contributions or technical writing, and security practices such as OAuth2, OWASP, or secrets management.
