Senior Project Manager / IS Project Controls & Finance Analyst

Role overview

Work arrangement

Financial controls and analysis

• Estimate IS project costs, create ad hoc and quarterly forecasts, and maintain balance sheets.
• Create and track purchase orders and invoices and follow the company accounts payable process.
• Manage software renewals and forecasts using SAP reports, Smartsheet, and a budget forecast workbook.
• Identify anomalies such as overdue contracts without purchase order numbers and forecast invoice timing.
• Help streamline processes and implement additional automation; assist with cost-center accruals and GIS and AWS invoice processing.
• Monitor invoices, review spend and allocations with IS leads, review vendor costs, and assist with funding, SOWs, change orders, and purchase-order requests.
• Prepare monthly status reports and financial dashboards.

PMO activities

• Attend weekly meetings with program and project managers and IS leads.
• Review program dashboards and maintain the IPP and PMO vault.
• Help manage or lead scheduled weekly or biweekly program dashboard meetings.

Required qualifications

• Experience working with IS projects and familiarity with SAP reporting and budgeting or accounting rules.
• Smartsheet experience and intermediate or advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas.
• Excellent collaboration and client-facing skills; familiarity with Agile.
• Ability to work independently with manager direction and oversight; proactive with good communication skills.
