Senior Project Engineer - Industrial Refrigeration

Role overview
Lead and coordinate engineering activities across industrial refrigeration projects to ensure technical compliance, timely delivery, and integration of design, procurement, and site execution.

Provide pre-sales and post-sales engineering support, including retrofit and upgrade projects for existing refrigeration systems.
Pre-sales engineering
- Review customer or consultant tender documents, conduct site surveys, and attend technical meetings.
- Prepare initial technical calculations, system concepts, industrial refrigeration equipment selections, and component cost estimates.
- Prepare cost books, quotation text, and process flow diagrams.
Project engineering and delivery
- Lead project control and monitoring to keep delivery profitable, accurate, on schedule, within contractual scope, and aligned with customer expectations.
- Develop, coordinate, and review engineering deliverables, technical submittals, design briefs, sequences of operation, and installation specifications.
- Review IFC and shop drawings, design changes, supplier documents, and technical proposals; provide clarifications to consultants, suppliers, and site teams.
- Ensure materials, drawings, and installations comply with specifications, standards, and approved designs.
Site, quality, and commissioning
- Provide site engineering support, resolve technical issues, and guide installation.
- Coordinate interfaces across design, procurement, QA/QC, and site execution; support inspections, NCR resolution, and workmanship verification.
- Identify engineering risks and mitigations to protect schedule and margin.
- Complete testing and commissioning documentation and support start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Provide weekly progress updates, highlight constraints, and support recovery plans.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Refrigeration Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- PMP certification or an equivalent Project Management qualification.
- At least five years managing industrial refrigeration and/or large-scale commercial refrigeration, industrial, MEP, or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in project engineering, design coordination, and technical site support.
- Experience working with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage technical interfaces across design, procurement, QA/QC, and project execution.
