Senior Programme Quality Engineer
Role Overview

Act as the designated quality focal point, provide independent oversight, support governance, manage quality risks and non-conformances, and coordinate quality across programme and interfacing functions.
Embed and verify quality requirements across design, development, verification, validation, qualification, production, and acceptance.
Responsibilities
- Lead programme quality activities and act as the main contact for quality, audits, reporting, and customer quality matters.
- Oversee lifecycle quality and compliance; develop and maintain QA/QC plans supporting inspections, testing, product release, and production readiness.
- Review designs, technical documentation, test results, and deliverables; manage non-conformances, deviations, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Support audits, Stage Gate Reviews, configuration control, and programme quality reporting; ensure safety and quality compliance during high-risk activities.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues, monitor risks and metrics, improve performance, and mentor junior quality engineers.
Basic qualifications
- Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautics, Systems, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- At least 8 years of direct experience in Quality Engineering, Product Design Assurance, or Development Engineering, including product design and development in space, aerospace, satellite, or defence manufacturing.
- Good understanding of systems engineering processes and working knowledge of one or more guided missiles, drones, UAVs, space satellites, or complex multidisciplinary systems and subsystems.
- Experience with testing tools and software test equipment; working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D quality methods.
- Knowledge of APQP and First Article Inspection tools and techniques; technical report writing.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
- ASQ certification, Chartered Quality Institute membership, or the specified certified explosives worker qualification.
- Lead Auditor certification.
