About the Role

The Senior Program Manager supports planning and execution for multiple projects or programs within MATLAB, Simulink, or infrastructure, architecture, and tools software development.

Program Management is an integration and coordination role across engineering, quality engineering, user experience, and documentation.

The position is a hands-on individual contributor role and a liaison to marketing, sales, operations, and technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform program analysis and manage risks.
  • Influence course corrections and apply creative problem solving.
  • Communicate program status and activities across multiple levels of management.
  • Continuously assess and improve software development lifecycle processes.
  • Mentor and coach members of Program Management and Product Development teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, a technical field, or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex technical projects with software engineering and testing teams.
  • Expertise managing software development programs across organizations from initiation through delivery.
  • Experience implementing change in a large organization.
  • Ability to balance strategic goals with tactical implementation.
  • Hands-on experience developing and reporting metrics for engineering development, testing, bugs, issues, risks, and project or program management.
  • Ability to influence without authority and demonstrated process improvement experience.
  • Experience in the commercial software product industry and building tools that simplify software development processes.
  • Experience with internationalization concepts and technical implementations.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or embedded product development is listed as an additional qualification.
  • A bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience, a master's degree plus 3 years, a PhD, or equivalent experience is required.
