Position Overview

Product Manager on Autodesk’s Analytics Data Platform team, partnering with distributed engineering teams.

The platform provides infrastructure for analytics and AI workloads and supports data storage, compute, and workflow orchestration.

The team is moving toward self-service, automation, modernized engines and storage formats, and agent-enabled provisioning and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the storage, compute, and workflow platform vision and roadmap; define unified self-service access.
  • Set reliability standards and provide visibility into usage, cost, and performance.
  • Work with engineers and platform users, lead technical discussions, write requirements, and run quarterly planning.
  • Manage the capability lifecycle, migrations, and retirement; build in security, compliance, least privilege, and environment isolation.
  • Assess infrastructure trends and vendors; measure provisioning time, reliability, performance, adoption, and cost.
  • Maintain documentation and support platform users.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience, including infrastructure or platform products at scale.
  • Align globally distributed cross-functional teams without formal authority; communicate with stakeholders and build agreement.
  • Understand technical users and connect platform decisions to business outcomes, cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Discuss storage, compute, query engines, and orchestration credibly and assess trade-offs.
  • Use product discovery, research, data, and end-to-end delivery practices, including successful migrations and retirement of old paths.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Spark, Trino, or Athena; Kubernetes or EKS; Iceberg or Snowflake; Airflow, Temporal, or Metaflow.
  • Experience with Ranger or Lake Formation, observability, cost and performance management, and analytics tools such as Looker or notebooks.
  • Experience leading large-scale platform migrations, making build-versus-buy decisions, or conducting vendor assessments.

Salary Transparency

  • For Canada-based roles, expected starting base salary is $122,000–$179,300; offers may vary by experience and geographic location.
  • Compensation may include annual cash bonuses, sales commissions where applicable, stock grants, and benefits.

Onboarding

  • The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.
