- Experiment with AI models, agents, and tools; evaluate their quality, reliability, speed, cost, and data requirements in real workflows.
- Own the roadmap for shared AI capabilities and adoption; make build, buy, reuse, and stop decisions and deliver in short cycles.
- Build and validate prototypes and pilot workflows, test with employees, iterate on failures, and partner with Engineering to productionize validated solutions.
- Define evaluation criteria, human review, failure handling, monitoring, and ownership; address permissions, privacy, integrations, and production readiness with relevant partners.
- Create reusable agent, tool, knowledge, context, permission, evaluation, and monitoring capabilities with Engineering and Data.
- Lead adoption through functional leaders, champions, training, hackathons, office hours, and rollout support; diagnose and address adoption barriers.
- Measure adoption, time saved, cycle time, output quality, errors, and operating cost; use evidence to improve, expand, or retire solutions.
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of product management experience, ideally including internal products, platforms, or developer and employee tooling.
- Sustained hands-on AI use and experimentation with foundation models, agent frameworks, and development tools.
- Practical experience building and deploying AI workflows people use, and explaining their operation, failures, evaluation, and business impact.
- Technical fluency in model selection, retrieval and context, tool use, agent orchestration, APIs, evaluation, and access controls; able to build and debug prototypes.
- Track record of scaling adoption and helping teams build skills and take ownership of new workflows.
- Analytical discipline in measuring value against a baseline, including human effort needed to review and correct outputs.
- Ability to align functional leaders, collaborate with technical teams, and communicate with colleagues with varying AI experience.
Bonus experience
- B2B SaaS operations, CRM and support systems, or internal knowledge tools are advantageous.
- Experience building functional champion networks or scaling an automation from one team across a company is advantageous.
- Familiarity with insurance workflows is advantageous.
