Role overview

Responsibilities

• Translate commercial strategy into category sourcing and negotiation strategies, define negotiation levers, and use global supplier relationships for Australian needs.
• Establish an initial S&OP cadence tracking supplier performance and cost/margin; use demand and supply signals in negotiations and expand planning inputs over time.
• Run supplier QBRs, track quality, service, cost, and lead time, and lead formal improvement plans when performance falls short.
• Partner with Commercial and Clinical on new product categories, including registration readiness, supplier onboarding, and launch stock planning.
• Build supply-risk frameworks, maintain SKU-level landed-cost visibility, and identify opportunities to protect margin.
• Develop contract standards and templates with Legal and Compliance; ensure Australian labelling and ARTG compliance and manage import, customs, and biosecurity obligations.
• Coach junior colleagues and set sourcing and contracting quality standards.

About you

• 6+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, ideally in FMCG, pharma, healthcare, or another regulated consumer-goods environment, with end-to-end category ownership.
• Proven commercial negotiation skills and experience delivering category strategies and measurable savings.
• Experience running supplier QBRs and leading structured supplier performance improvement.
• Working knowledge of Australian import, labelling, and regulatory requirements; TGA/ARTG familiarity is highly desirable.
• Ability to design supply-risk, contracting, and sourcing frameworks with Legal and Compliance.
• Able to translate commercial strategy into a category plan and establish an S&OP cadence from scratch.
• Analytical and fluent with cost and margin data; ERP and procurement system experience is advantageous.
• Able to coach others, partner across functions, and work with ambiguity in a fast-scaling environment.
