Position overview
Senior presales engineer serving as the technical bridge between sales, Tier-1 vendors, and UAE/GCC government, semi-government, and enterprise clients.
The role covers enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, regional procurement cycles, and end-to-end solution design and pitching.
Tender and proposal management
- Lead technical responses to complex UAE/GCC RFPs, RFQs, and invitations to tender.
- Analyze tender specifications, compliance matrices, UAE ICV rules, and mandatory SLAs.
- Write technical proposals, executive summaries, and compliance submissions aligned with regional procurement laws.
Architecture and compliance
- Design scalable, resilient, high-availability server, storage, and networking architectures from client requirements and tender scopes.
- Align solutions with NESA/SCA, UAE ISR, and data residency requirements.
Demonstrations, vendors, and costing
- Design and execute proof-of-concepts, technical presentations, and product demonstrations against government evaluation benchmarks.
- Collaborate with Tier-1 vendors such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, VMware, and Fortinet on pricing, OEM support, and deal registration.
- Create compliant hardware, software, and licensing configurations mapped to tender budgets and technical stipulations.
Experience and technical qualifications
- Proven UAE/GCC government and semi-government IT tender experience, including complex compliance and deadlines.
- Deep expertise in enterprise servers, SAN/NAS storage, and virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Solid understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, LAN/WAN, and basic SD-WAN.
- Working knowledge of next-generation firewalls, endpoint protection, and IAM; familiarity with NESA, NCA, and ISR.
- At least 4–6 years of presales experience with a UAE/GCC IT system integrator or value-added distributor.
Communication, education, and certifications
- Strong client-facing presentation and scoping skills for government evaluation committees, technical directors, and CXOs.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as VCP, CCNA/CCNP, or CISSP and familiarity with government procurement or security standards are a plus.
