Senior Pre-Sales Engineer

Role scope

Main duties

• Act as a subject matter expert in technical and solution design for the assigned product and service portfolio.
• Develop account penetration strategies and support opportunity qualification with Sales and Pre-Sales Engineers.
• Advise across the technical sales lifecycle, including technical qualification, solution design, proposals, high-level designs, and demonstrations.
• Run and manage proofs of concept and RFPs, and support opportunity closure from presales and implementation perspectives.
• Build partner and customer relationships in support of sales objectives; lead technical sales calls.
• Identify customer queries and problems, address needs, and map requirements to existing solutions.
• Manage adoption, integration, and value generation of assigned products and services within customer businesses and IT infrastructure.
• Review presales documentation for accuracy and timeliness; maintain a deep understanding of customer businesses and technical environments.
• Create training content when needed and use Salesforce.com CRM for leads, opportunities, and deal registration.
• Design HPE solution architectures; prepare solution sizing, bills of materials, technical proposals, and RFP/RFQ responses.
• Conduct presentations, workshops, and technical discussions; support opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and closure.
• Coordinate solution validation and delivery with HPE, distributors, and implementation teams.

Position requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HPE Compute and Storage solutions.
• Good understanding of GreenLake, Hybrid Cloud, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in solution sizing, architecture design, and bill of materials preparation.
• Good knowledge of SAN, networking, and datacenter infrastructure concepts.
• Strong RFP/RFQ, presentation, and customer-facing skills; good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant HPE technical certifications are preferred.
