Role overview

Planning and progress control

• Develop logically linked, resource-loaded Level 4 and Level 5 schedules in Primavera P6 and break master schedules into weekly work packages.
• Integrate procurement and engineering submittal milestones into construction programmes.
• Verify progress through daily site visits, update schedule dates and completion, maintain productivity data, and produce S-curves.
• Manage resource loading, identify allocation issues, track constraints, and prepare three- or six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Record delays and supporting evidence, assist with Time Impact Analysis, and compare planned and actual performance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reporting and coordinate schedule progress with Quantity Surveying value-of-work-done and payment applications.
• Archive schedule revisions and planning data for audit purposes.

Qualifications and experience

• At least 8 years of construction planning experience with high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of scheduling principles, construction sequencing, critical path analysis, resource planning, progress tracking, and schedule risk management.
• Experience developing Level 4 and Level 5 Primavera P6 schedules and producing look-ahead plans and schedule performance reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related planning and reporting tools.
• Primavera P6 certification and AACE membership are preferred.
