Senior Planning Engineer

About This Role

Position Overview

Responsible for planning and overseeing the full program of works, monitoring progress, and maintaining a constraints register to ensure successful project delivery within time and budget.

Core Job Functions

• Develop and maintain the baseline project program using appropriate planning techniques and logical sequencing in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Prepare labour resource loading schedules within budget and coordinate with quantity teams to establish material requirements (phase-wise, area-wise, floor-wise).
• Define engineering deliverables including drawings, materials, and method statements aligned with the project schedule and establish KPIs for monitoring.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables.
• Track procurement and delivery of long-lead materials and highlight priorities.
• Prepare and update short-term (3-week) and medium-term (3-month) look-ahead schedules.
• Perform risk and probabilistic analysis on project timelines and identify potential deviations.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress and highlight delays, constraints, and corrective actions.
• Record and analyze project efficiencies, delays, and performance metrics.

Selection Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning and project execution.
• Selection subject to management discretion.
