We are seeking an experienced

Senior Planning Engineer

to lead project planning and scheduling activities across major construction projects.

This role is responsible for programme development, project controls, delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) preparation, and providing strategic planning support throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Role

  • Develop and manage project baseline programme, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and milestone schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and analyze performance against approved baselines.
  • Identify critical path activities, programme risks, and constraints, recommending mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Prepare recovery and acceleration programme to support project delivery.
  • Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, executive dashboards, S-curves, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Lead delay analysis and prepare supporting documentation for Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
  • Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and subcontractor teams.
  • Review and integrate subcontractor programme into the master schedule.
  • Assess programme impacts arising from variations, procurement issues, and project changes.
  • Facilitate planning meetings and present programme updates to clients, consultants, and senior management.
  • Mentor and develop Planning Engineers and Junior Planners within the project team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum
  • 7+ years
  • of planning experience within large-scale construction projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and project scheduling techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), delay analysis, and EOT preparation.
  • Experience supporting forensic planning, programme reviews, and construction claims.
  • Good understanding of FIDIC or other standard forms of contract.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, presentation, and report-writing skills.
