The Senior Operator supports production line operations, equipment performance, improvement work, and compliance with workplace procedures.
Operations and improvement
- Participate in and lead CIQ and NC analysis related to improvement opportunities and recurring problems.
- Manage line operations in the absence of the line leader and supervisor.
- Participate in PDCA/SDCA groups related to key performance indicators.
- Reduce operational losses, including rework, scrap, and giveaway weight.
- Assist the line leader and production supervisor in meeting scheduling requirements.
- Participate in or initiate improvement projects.
Equipment and process
- Operate and troubleshoot complex equipment; perform regular machine condition checks.
- Prepare materials and assemble equipment before starting the line.
- Monitor production equipment and adjust parameters according to standard procedures.
- Observe operations and notify the equipment operator of malfunctions.
- Fill in and interpret control charts.
- Ensure processes meet critical control parameters and follow the equipment's nominal capacity.
Academic background
- Secondary school (Grade 12), technical certificate, or equivalent.
Compliance
- Comply with food safety and HACCP requirements and prerequisites.
- Comply with workplace Health, Safety and Environment requirements and 5S.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice, food defense requirements, and other applicable procedures.
- Follow company sustainability policy and contribute through routine activities to sustainability indicators and global ESG commitments.
