Senior Operations Manager

for our Supermarket division

Job Summary

The Sr.

Operations Manager's role within an organization is one which is primarily involved in all aspects of the organization's health and safety, reporting and monitoring teams and individual performances, as well as overseeing the application of all company standards, policies, procedures and behavior.

Operational Leadership

  • Direct and oversee all supermarket operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Financial Management

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, striving to achieve sales targets and maintain cost control.
  • Analyze sales reports and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure team members meet operational goals.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained throughout the supermarket.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, implementing solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste and shrinkage.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and clean shopping environment.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and finance teams to align operational strategies with overall business goals.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, MBA in the same field an advantage
  • At least 8+ Years of experience in Operations Management in Supermarket/Hypermarket Retail Industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and retail software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of market trends and customer preferences.
