Senior Officer – Procurement & Contracts (IT Category)

Abu Dhabi Based

The Senior Officer – Procurement & Contracts (IT Category) is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and contract activities related to IT goods and services, ensuring value for money, compliance with policies, and timely delivery in line with organizational objectives.

Procurement Management

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for IT-related categories, including hardware, software, licenses, cloud services, maintenance, and professional services.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and tenders in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct commercial evaluations, cost comparisons, and support technical evaluation processes.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, SLAs, and delivery schedules with vendors.

Contracts Management

  • Draft, review, and manage IT procurement contracts in coordination with legal and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure contracts comply with organizational policies, risk requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor contract performance, renewals, amendments, and expiries.
  • Handle contract variations, claims, and disputes related to IT vendors.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and support corrective actions where required.
  • Work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and other departments to understand requirements and ensure smooth execution.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, audit requirements, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and contract documentation.
  • Support audits by providing required procurement and contract records.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare procurement reports, savings analysis, and spend data for the IT category.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, standardization, and process improvements.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives for the IT category.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement and contracts, with strong exposure to
  • IT category procurement

  • Solid understanding of IT products, services, and licensing models.
  • Experience in tendering, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage.
