The role designs, deploys, and manages large-scale video analytics and surveillance environments spanning IP cameras, networking, Linux, containers, and cloud.

Network and video architecture
- Architect and optimize LAN/WAN networks for enterprise IP CCTV systems handling 500 to 5,000+ camera channels.
- Design video delivery using multi-unicast or multicast, RTSP, ONVIF, WebRTC, HLS, and bandwidth management strategies.
- Implement security VLANs, QoS, traffic shaping, and multicast routing to support low-latency video ingestion.
- Design SAN, NAS, RAID, and object storage for high-write video retention.
Systems and platform delivery
- Tune Ubuntu and enterprise Linux kernels, network stacks, and storage performance for video ingestion workloads.
- Manage GPU-equipped edge and core servers for real-time video analytics inference.
- Monitor hardware health, thermals, disk wear, and camera connectivity across edge nodes.
- Deploy and manage containerized AI models, analytics microservices, and VMS platforms on Kubernetes.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for edge-to-cloud analytics services and provision infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Implement centralized monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, and custom probes.
- Connect on-premises video clusters to AWS, Azure, or GCP for hybrid processing, archival, and remote analytics.
- Secure camera networks using 802.1X, VPNs, firewalls, and zero-trust controls.
Required qualifications
- 5–8+ years in network engineering, DevOps, or systems architecture, including at least three years supporting large-scale IP video surveillance or video analytics with 500+ cameras.
- Proven ability to design high-throughput networks for video traffic across large camera deployments.
- Advanced Ubuntu Server administration, networking tools, filesystems, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with Docker, Containerd, Kubernetes, deployment strategies, CNI plugins, and persistent volume storage.
- Hands-on Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Bash, and Python experience for infrastructure automation.
Technical skills
- Networking: multicast, VLANs, QoS, RTSP, ONVIF, WebRTC, BGP/OSPF, firewalls, WireGuard, and 802.1X.
- Video: H.264/H.265, bitrate tuning, Milestone, Genetec, or custom video analytics pipelines.
- Systems: Ubuntu Server, kernel tuning, Systemd, Ceph, NFS, iSCSI, NVMe-oF, and NVIDIA CUDA.
- Containers and DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, K3s, Helm, Calico/Cilium, Terraform, Ansible, Git, CI/CD, Python, and Bash.
- Monitoring and cloud: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/ELK, SNMP, syslog, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred and bonus credentials
- CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent networking credentials are preferred.
- CKA, AWS Solutions Architect, or RHCE certifications are a bonus.
Performance expectations
- Maintain 99.99% availability across video ingestion pipelines and network fabric.
- Prevent video frame loss and optimize bandwidth across high-density camera installations.
- Automate edge and node deployments and rapidly resolve camera disconnects, bandwidth bottlenecks, and analytics container failures.
Pay
- AED 8,000–20,000 per month.

- Work is in person in Dubai, UAE.
