Role overview

Network operations and delivery

• Operate and troubleshoot Cisco ACI fabrics, including APIC, Spine/Leaf, tenants, VRFs, BDs, EPGs, contracts, L3Out/vPC, upgrades, and faults.
• Administer Cisco DNA/Catalyst Center and SD-Access using automation, templates, SWIM, and Assurance.
• Manage Catalyst 9800 wireless controllers and access points, SSIDs, RF, and fabric-enabled wireless; resolve connectivity and roaming issues.
• Administer Cisco ISE for 802.1X, MAB, guest/BYOD, profiling, posture, and TrustSec segmentation.
• Automate provisioning and compliance checks using Python/Ansible and REST APIs, and monitor fabric and client health.
• Provide L3 support and lead incident, problem, and change management with root-cause analysis within SLAs; join a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Maintain procedures, runbooks, topology diagrams, and inventory; plan and test disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Drive vendor TAC cases, support migrations and upgrades, coordinate with NOC/SOC and other technical teams, and visit client and remote sites.

Minimum requirements

• Requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of enterprise networking experience.
• Requires hands-on enterprise-scale design, deployment, and day-2 operations experience across Cisco ACI, DNAC/SD-Access, wireless, and Cisco ISE/NAC.
• At least one of CCNP Data Center or CCNP Enterprise is essential; holding both is highly desirable.
• Requires ITIL knowledge and NOC experience supporting large enterprise or multinational clients.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication and availability for 24/7 on-call shifts when needed.
• Requires willingness to travel to client and remote sites.

Technology expertise

• ACI expertise includes Multi-Pod/Multi-Site, PBR, L2Out/L3Out, VMware NSX integration, and firmware upgrades.
• DNAC/SD-Access expertise includes fabric provisioning, LAN automation, Assurance, SWIM, and IPv6.
• Wireless expertise includes Catalyst 9800/AireOS, Wi-Fi 6/6E, RF design and site surveys, and WPA3-Enterprise.
• NAC expertise includes 802.1X, MAB, RADIUS/TACACS+, profiling, posture, TrustSec, and pxGrid.
• Automation technologies include Python, Ansible, Terraform (ACI provider), REST APIs, and Catalyst Center templates and Assurance.
• Routing and switching technologies include OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VXLAN, Nexus, Catalyst, and ISR/ASR.

Certification notes

• At least one of CCNP Data Center or CCNP Enterprise is required; both are highly desirable.
• Specialist credentials earned through CCNP concentration exams are accepted as evidence of expertise in the corresponding technology.
• CCNP Security (ISE), CCNP Wireless, and CCIE are listed as preferred.
• ITIL 4 Foundation or an equivalent service-management certification is noted.
