Senior Network Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining company network infrastructure.
Part-time remote role supporting secure, reliable connectivity for remote and on-site users.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and apply corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; document network architecture, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and project teams to support business applications, enforce security policies, and plan network upgrades.
- Guide on best practices and mentor less experienced team members when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong network administration and engineering skills for multi-site and remote environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and network design for complex issues and scalable, resilient solutions.
- Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and security best practices.
- Experience with networking technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols, plus cloud or hybrid environments.
- Ability to work independently remotely, manage part-time hours, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent professional credentials are highly beneficial.
