The General Manager is a part-time, remote role overseeing overall business operations.
The role focuses on project delivery, business strategy, financial performance, resource allocation, stakeholder relationships, and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee business operations and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Supervise project pipelines, coordinate with project managers, and review progress reports and performance metrics.
- Develop business strategies, manage budgets and financial performance, and optimize resource allocation.
- Maintain client and stakeholder relationships and support business development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Guide teams, set operational priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management, contracting, or a related field with responsibility for multiple projects.
- Strong business operations, strategic planning, and performance management skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and cost-control measures.
- Leadership and people-management skills including coaching, delegation, and conflict resolution.
- Communication and negotiation abilities for working with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Comfort with remote work tools and digital collaboration platforms.
- A relevant bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and contract administration is advantageous.
