The primary work location is Al Khobar, KSA; the role seeks experience with offshore and onshore projects.
Knowledge and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 12+ years in the oil and gas sector, including at least 8 years in mechanical rotating equipment for major oil and gas or petrochemical projects.
- Experience with both offshore and onshore projects and prior exposure to construction and commissioning phases.
- Computer literate, particularly proficient in Excel.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and major brownfield FEED/EPC projects is advantageous.
Key responsibilities
- Lead rotating equipment engineering activities through FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases.
- Develop datasheets, specifications, and requisitions for compressors, pumps, turbines, blowers, and packaged systems.
- Review vendor offers, perform technical bid evaluations, and take part in vendor meetings and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant international standards; coordinate equipment integration across engineering disciplines.
- Review vendor drawings and documents, provide support during procurement through commissioning, and participate in technical and safety workshops.
- Mentor junior engineers, review deliverables, and support audits and project quality and safety standards.
