Role overview

Key accountabilities

• Lead a team that architects, develops, operates, and supports wealth technology solutions, focusing on mobile apps.
• Build a sustainable, operationally resilient team that delivers a client-centered roadmap on time, on budget, and to high quality.
• Coach and develop the technology team, promote best practices and analytics, and thoughtfully use AI development tools.
• Communicate technology strategy to business and technology leaders and manage vendor relationships.
• Provide technical expertise and knowledge transfer in application development.

Required experience and skills

• At least 5 years leading software engineering teams and mentoring developers; at least 5 years delivering secure client-facing enterprise solutions.
• Strong wealth management knowledge covering client journeys, investment products, regulatory expectations, and scalable secure technology.
• At least 5 years hands-on secure development using Kotlin, Android frameworks, Swift/iOS frameworks, Java, Angular, and public cloud technologies.
• At least 5 years operationalizing highly available solutions and 3 years leading agile teams and ceremonies.
• Knowledge of HTTP, REST-style APIs, cybersecurity for public internet-facing applications, cloud, microservices, and DevOps.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively, plan tactically and strategically, resolve escalations, and support inclusive team culture.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills in English; bachelor's degree or higher.

Preferred skills

• Digital commerce technology, Salesforce development and integration, React, REST API design and development, and Canadian Securities Course understanding or certification are nice to have.
