Senior Manager - Project Cargo

Role purpose

Operations and contract management

• Lead country-level Project Logistics operations and oversee end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Remain actively involved in field operations to ensure alignment with budgets and scope.
• Control operational, subcontractor, and vendor costs; manage variation orders and implement project cost-tracking processes.
• Ensure compliance with client contracts, manage terms and conditions, mitigate contractual risks, and handle claims and deviations.
• Use CargoWise for job costing, revenue allocation, and financial tracking; maintain accurate operational and financial reporting.
• Manage insurance matters and oversee claims resolution.

People and commercial leadership

• Embed a commercial mindset and accountability for cost control and budget adherence across the operations team.
• Ensure disciplined CargoWise use and accurate, real-time reporting; align operations with finance and commercial functions.
• Build a performance-driven culture focused on efficiency and profitability.
• Own operational cost control and country-level operational P&L; identify savings and operational efficiencies.
• Align operational execution with financial and commercial objectives, and support client and subcontractor contract negotiations to protect margins.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in Project Logistics or EPC project coordination.
• Proven operational leadership, cost control, and commercial exposure.
• Experience managing project budgets, financial performance, and operational cost efficiency; solid field experience in project execution environments.

Technical qualifications

• High proficiency in CargoWise ERP is required.
• Relevant knowledge includes invoicing control and revenue tracking, insurance management, multimodal transport, and heavy lift operations.
• Knowledge of project logistics contractual and commercial terms, cost structures, and pricing mechanisms is required.
