Overview
As the Senior Manager - HSE & Security, you will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive strategies that mitigate risks, protect our workforce, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
You will collaborate closely with project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, leveraging your expertise to maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of integrated HSE and security policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards and security threats.
- Oversee HSE and security training programs to enhance awareness and competency among staff and contractors.
- Monitor compliance with local and international HSE and security regulations, ensuring effective and timely reporting.
- Investigate incidents and security breaches, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Work collaboratively with project managers to incorporate HSE and security considerations into all stages of project planning and execution.
- Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and security agencies, to enhance safety and security efforts.
- Prepare and present HSE and security performance reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the fields of HSE and security.
- Lead by example to instill a culture of health, safety, and security as fundamental components of our operations.
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Security Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE and Security management, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Strong familiarity with HSE regulations, security protocols, and risk management methodologies.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective HSE and security programs.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CPP) in HSE or security management are highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritize effectively to ensure safety and security across projects.
