About This Role

Job Purpose

Responsible for planning, deployment & overall management of the information & communication technology (ICT) assets & related on-site activities thereby ensuring to provide reliable & flexible utility services to the customers of TRSUC.

This role shall oversee all the aspects related to ICT including operations, maintenance, innovation, asset management, agreements, compliance with regulations and development of all telecommunications and ICT related equipment (e.g.

DUCC, Ducts, Chambers, POP s, MMU s and others).

The role will work closely with the Utility Operations Team together with the asset owners, where the ICT equipment's are located.

Strategic Contribution

  • Develop functional strategies & roadmap for overall management and implementation of a range of ICT equipment (such as DUCC, Ducts, Chambers, POP s, MMU s etc.) across the destination.
  • Ensure project Implementation is aligned with the RGS s project timeline and meets all the requirements of the business owners and stakeholders.
  • Explore and implement new & advanced ICT technologies to enhance reliability and efficiency of the utility services provided.
  • Implement and enforce processes to ensure compliance of ICT assets with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as finance, operations, and IT to ensure the seamless integration of ICT assets & networks with overall business operations

ICT Asset Management & Agreements

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and calibration of ICT assets across TRSUC customer base.
  • Utilize ICT assets data to analyze consumption patterns and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for ICT operations.
  • Address & provide resolution to all ICT-related inquiries and concerns received.
  • Develop & implement financial controls and processes for ICT which could be independently audited.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments such as commercial, operations etc. to ensure the seamless integration of metering activities with overall business operations.
  • Develop ICT assets procurement frameworks for the organization and manage procurement activities.

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

  • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Maintain relevant functional logs and documentation across the department and provide regular statistical reports / MIS on ICT assets to the senior management team. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

Risk Management

  • Identify different aspects of risk associated with ICT assets and develop mitigation measures to negate or minimize the effect of these risks.
  • Ensure decisions are made in accordance with ERM policy and guidelines.

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Leadership

  • Coordinate the activities of the system integration team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
  • Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performances, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
  • Serve as a role model to ensure employees awareness and commitment to RSG vision, mission, values, fundamentals, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department s systems, processes and practices considering international best practice , improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Qualification and Experience
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in ICT assets management in utility sector with at least 3-5 years as project lead/manager.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in managing agreements involving ICT and physical assets as well as handling ICT assets for large organizations.
