Senior IT Engineer

Role summary

Key responsibilities

• Lead LAN/WAN infrastructure planning, design, implementation, and optimization; oversee network systems, servers, and enterprise IT solutions.
• Maintain availability, reliability, and business continuity; resolve escalated hardware, software, server, and network incidents.
• Monitor performance, conduct capacity planning, and manage upgrades, migrations, rollouts, and infrastructure improvements.
• Configure network devices, firewalls, routing, and switching; implement cybersecurity controls, monitoring, and compliance.
• Protect systems, networks, applications, and data; review configurations, infrastructure changes, and preventive maintenance plans.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, system records, workflows, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and technology partners; guide staff on complex infrastructure and network issues; train and mentor technical personnel.
• Support QMS implementation and improvement, policy compliance, audits, reviews, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• A master’s degree is preferred.
• At least seven years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, systems administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and network environments and working with Windows, Linux, and Mac server/client environments.
• Relevant certifications in networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies are advantageous.

• Expert knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac server/client systems; advanced LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and network-security knowledge.
• Strong cybersecurity, security-monitoring, access-control, data-protection, infrastructure-monitoring, capacity-planning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Project management, technology implementation, analysis, problem-solving, documentation, reporting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage priorities under pressure, protect confidential information, work independently, collaborate, and take initiative.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Language

• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
