The General Manager leads and manages the company's Oil & Gas division.
The role oversees operations, projects, business development, commercial performance, client relationships, manpower, HSE, growth, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction and manage division operations, projects, contracts, manpower, and resources.
- Drive business development, tenders, proposals, and new project opportunities; maintain key client, contractor, and stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee budgets, revenue, costs, profitability, commercial performance, workforce planning, recruitment, deployment, and team performance.
- Ensure HSE, quality, regulatory, and client compliance; monitor progress, operational performance, KPIs, and targets.
- Identify growth opportunities, lead and mentor senior and operational teams, resolve major issues, and make strategic decisions.
- Report business and performance results regularly to the CEO or Managing Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field.
- 15–20+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience with substantial senior-management experience.
- Proven experience managing an Oil & Gas division, business unit, or large-scale operations.
- Strong background in operations, project management, business development, contracts, and commercial management.
- Experience with major Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Leadership, negotiation, decision-making, communication, and client-management skills; track record of growth, efficiency, and profitability.
