Why this role matters

Design sits at the heart of our value proposition. As Senior Interior Designer, you will lead the creative and technical design of furnishing and interior projects across the GCC – from space planning and concept development through to specification and final installation. Working closely with our clients, you will design and deliver residential and commercial (office) interiors across the breadth of furnishing services we offer – from furniture packages to high-end interior design, ensuring every project balances aesthetic excellence with commercial outcomes.

This role combines hands-on creative design with leadership in shaping our aesthetic, approach, and customer experiences that drive returns for property investors and elevate our reputation as the region’s leading furnishing services partner.

What you’ll do

Creative & Technical Design

• Lead the interior design of residential and commercial furnishing projects across the GCC.
• Produce space plans, layouts, mood boards, and design concepts tailored to client and market needs.
• Specify furniture, finishes, and packages aligned with brand standards, budgets, and project objectives.
• Create tailored quotations and furnishing schedules for each project.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work directly with the Dubai-based key stakeholders to deliver revenue from both existing and new clients through design-led outcomes.
• Manage client communication and expectations from concept/quotation through to order and completion.
• Present concepts, mood boards, and design proposals with clarity and impact.
• Ensure projects deliver the best possible outcomes for both our clients and The Global Living Company in terms of revenue, service, and reputation.

Project Collaboration

• Work hand-in-hand with project managers, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings, 3D renders, specifications, and install-ready documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers to achieve best-in-class design execution.
• Work alongside the CEO and Creative Director to direct and manage installations ranging from small-scale apartment fit-outs and display suites to large-scale villa and apartment projects.

Product & Range Development

• Help define, build, and deliver new furnishing product ranges.
• Collaborate with local and international suppliers to source products that are both commercially successful and aesthetically appealing.
• Contribute to scalable design solutions that can be replicated across projects and markets

Team & Leadership

• Mentor junior designers and project administrators to raise design standards and skills.
• Contribute to the development of scalable furniture packages and design ranges for the region.
• Manage and prioritise your workload weekly, aligning with agreed targets and objectives.
• Champion creativity, design excellence, and continuous improvement within the Dubai team.

About you

• Experienced interior designer with a strong portfolio of residential and/or commercial projects.
• Skilled in both creative design and technical delivery (InDesign, Photoshop, CAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc).
• Confident client-facing communicator able to present and persuade with authority.
• Commercially aware, with an understanding of budgets, ROI, and investor objectives.
• Highly collaborative, agile, and adaptable to a fast-paced growth environment.

Preferred experience

• 7+ years’ interior design experience in furniture packages, residential and commercial interiors.
• Track record of delivering high-quality design projects in the GCC or international markets.
• Knowledge of regional suppliers, manufacturers, and real estate sector needs.
• Experience working with developers, landlords, or operators on furnished units for rental or sale.
