Senior HSE Officer/ HSE Engineer

About This Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior HSE Officer / HSE Engineer to oversee and implement Health, Safety, and Environmental policies across our operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with UAE regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and support both office and site teams in maintaining safe working environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and UAE regulatory requirements (OSHAD, ADM, etc.).
• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE management systems and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Ensure all accidents, incidents, and near misses are properly reported and corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead emergency response planning, fire drills, and evacuation procedures.
• Deliver HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Monitor site activities to ensure safe systems of work and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures are followed.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities on HSE matters.
• Track and report HSE performance and KPIs to senior management.
• Ensure closure of audit findings, safety observations, and non-conformances.
• Promote continuous improvement and safety awareness across all departments.
• Support compliance with environmental management standards and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in HSE, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HSE, preferably in construction or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations (OSHAD, ADM, etc.).
• Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and coordinate with different departments.

Certifications (Preferred/Required)

• NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate)
• IOSH Managing Safely
• OSHA 10/30 Hour Certification
• ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (preferred)

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
