We are currently recruiting on behalf of a privately owned, independent specialty chemicals group headquartered in

Dubai, UAE,

a leading international distributor and manufacturer operating across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Contract Type: 3 months

Start date: 15/07/2026

⚠️ Please note: This is not an operational HR role.

This is a strategic advisory assignment focused on assessing, defining, and recommending a corporate HR operating model at group level.

The role does not involve executing local HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the current state of HR across the organization, including governance and policies, legal and labour compliance, HR systems and employee data, recruitment and onboarding, job architecture, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and workforce planning.
  • Map HR-related activities currently performed by Legal, Internal Audit, and systems functions, and identify gaps versus a corporate HR operating model.
  • Define the mandate, structure, and operating model of a centralized corporate HR function at group level, ensuring alignment with a multi-country organization.
  • Design a standardized corporate HR policies and procedures framework applicable across jurisdictions.
  • Define the future corporate HR leadership role, including responsibilities, profile, and reporting line.
  • Develop a phased implementation roadmap, including transition of HR ownership from Legal to Corporate HR.
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of senior HR experience in corporate HR transformation, HR strategy, or HR operating model design within multi-entity organizations.
  • Multi-jurisdictional HR experience across at least two regions (Europe, Asia, or Middle East & Africa).
  • Proven experience designing corporate HR policies, governance frameworks, and HR operating models from assessment through to recommendation.
  • Strong exposure to industrial, manufacturing, chemicals, or distribution sectors.
  • Experience from a leading HR consulting firm, Big 4 People Advisory practice, or senior in-house Group HR leadership role (Director level).
  • CIPD Level 7, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
