Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Developer (Next.js & NestJS)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end feature design and implementation with scalable, secure, maintainable architecture.
• Build performant, accessible, responsive Next.js interfaces using App Router, Server Components, and optimized rendering.
• Architect modular NestJS services, complex business logic, dependency injection, and microservices where applicable.
• Design database schemas, optimize queries, and maintain SQL and NoSQL data integrity.
• Conduct code reviews, establish engineering practices, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners on technical roadmaps and architectural designs.
• Implement security protocols and comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Technical skills

• Core technologies include JavaScript (ES6+), expert-level TypeScript, Next.js, React, NestJS, and Node.js.
• Frontend includes Tailwind CSS and state management with Zustand, Redux, or Context API.
• Backend includes TypeORM or Prisma, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Database options include PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, with advanced Redis usage.
• API technologies include REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, or gRPC.
• Tools and platforms include Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AWS, Vercel, or Azure.
• Security includes OAuth, JWT, and rate limiting; testing includes unit, integration, and end-to-end suites.

Qualifications

• Over five years of professional software development experience, focused on full-stack JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Production-grade application experience using both Next.js and NestJS.
• Ability to design distributed systems and manage complex client-server data flows.
• Experience solving performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and high-concurrency issues.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent senior-level industry experience.
