Senior Full Stack Engineer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, high-performance enterprise applications.
Works across frontend and backend development and collaborates with product managers, architects, UI/UX designers, QA, DevOps, and development teams.
Full stack and backend responsibilities
- Build enterprise web applications and maintain frontend and backend components through the software development lifecycle.
- Develop Node.js services and secure REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and API security.
- Integrate backend services with databases, third-party APIs, and enterprise systems; optimize performance and scalability.
- Develop asynchronous and event-driven backend services and microservices where appropriate.
Frontend and API responsibilities
- Build reusable, responsive React.js interfaces and libraries; integrate REST APIs and implement state management, routing, validation, and error handling.
- Optimize frontend performance and page loads, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and follow accessibility practices.
- Define API contracts, versioning, backward compatibility, service communication, and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
Technical skills and systems
- Required technologies include Node.js, React.js, JavaScript ES6+, and TypeScript.
- Relational database examples include PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server; ORM examples include TypeORM, Sequelize, and Prisma.
- MongoDB is an advantage. Caching examples include Redis; messaging examples include Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AWS SQS/SNS.
- Testing tools listed include Jest, React Testing Library, Supertest, and Postman/Newman.
Database, testing, and quality
- Design database tables, relationships, and indexes; write SQL queries and stored procedures as needed; understand transactions, isolation, and concurrency.
- Develop unit, integration, and API tests and follow test-driven development where applicable.
- Participate in code reviews, improve test coverage, and address performance, security, and reliability issues.
Experience
- Requires 6+ years of experience.
- Requires strong hands-on expertise in Node.js and React.js and experience across frontend and backend development.
- Requires experience with REST APIs, relational databases, automated testing, and CI/CD and cloud-based deployments.
