Senior Full Stack Developer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure web applications, APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Build application workflows, business logic, validation, authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
• Modernize legacy components for maintainability, scalability, security, and cloud readiness.
• Build APIs and data-access components that integrate databases, external interfaces, reporting, and analytics platforms.
• Develop and optimize SQL, views, stored procedures, and application data-access logic.
• Develop automated tests and support regression testing, defect resolution, demonstrations, release readiness, and production support.
• Use Git and GitLab CI/CD to validate and deploy changes in approved cloud and containerized environments.
• Apply secure coding and remediate applicable SAST, STIG/SRG, dependency, and secure-configuration findings.
• Provide design and code reviews, mentoring, technical documentation, and modernization recommendations.
• Collaborate with technical teams, testers, Product Owners, functional analysts, and Government stakeholders.

Required experience

• At least 8 years of professional software-development experience, including complex enterprise application design and delivery.
• Full-stack front-end and back-end experience using Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, Spring Boot, .NET, or comparable technologies.
• Experience developing APIs, web services, microservices, enterprise integrations, and modernizing legacy applications.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data-access patterns, and application-to-database integration.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD delivery, automated testing, defect remediation, and secure coding.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted and containerized application environments.
• Strong technical leadership, troubleshooting, documentation, mentoring, and stakeholder-communication skills.

Education and clearance

• A bachelor's or master's degree in a listed computing or related discipline, or FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, or SSCP certification.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one as required by assigned duties and contract requirements.

Preferred experience

• Federal mission-critical, U.S. Transportation Command, or Department of Defense logistics system experience is preferred.
• Experience with Apache Superset or other BI and analytics integrations is preferred.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, or comparable relational databases is preferred.
• AWS containerized application experience, Section 508 accessibility, and DoD RMF/STIG/SRG familiarity are preferred.

Workplace

• The position is hybrid; remote work may be authorized according to program requirements.
• Availability is required for on-site meetings, testing, demonstrations, release activities, classified-system access, or other mission needs at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Compensation

• The structured source salary is $125,000 to $140,000 per year.
