Mid-Level Full Stack Developer - BI/Apache Superset

Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components, APIs, web services, microservices, and integrations.
• Build Apache Superset dashboards, datasets, charts, filters, metrics, visualizations, database connections, and access configurations.
• Modernize legacy applications and reporting functionality into secure web-based solutions, including approved migrations to Apache Superset.
• Develop and optimize SQL, views, functions, reporting datasets, and data-access components across relational databases.
• Validate calculations, business rules, filters, permissions, SQL results, data, and application outputs; troubleshoot technical issues.
• Develop automated tests and use Git and GitLab CI/CD to build, test, scan, package, and deploy application and BI changes.
• Support Agile delivery, release validation, production support, documentation, and secure delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with development, BI, ETL, database, cloud, cybersecurity, analyst, testing, and Government stakeholder teams.

Required Qualifications

• Four or more years of professional experience in full-stack software development, BI development, application development, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing enterprise web application components using listed technologies or comparable frameworks.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, microservices, or enterprise-system integrations.
• Hands-on Apache Superset or comparable enterprise BI/data-visualization platform experience.
• Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and application-to-database integration.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, secure coding, Agile delivery, and DevSecOps practices.
• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot complex application and data issues, and communicate with varied stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or one current listed cybersecurity certification.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing SAP Business Objects or legacy reporting capabilities to Apache Superset or another modern BI platform.
• Experience with BI customization and application integration technologies such as Python, Flask, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, Spring Boot, or .NET.
• Experience supporting applications in AWS GovCloud or another authorized DoD cloud environment.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/EKS, GitLab Runners, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or comparable technologies.
• Experience supporting transportation, logistics, cargo, passenger, asset-visibility, readiness, or mission-oriented reporting capabilities.

Location

• Hybrid role with approximately 10% onsite support at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, based on program and mission needs.
